Hello, fans and fellow Tumblr users! You have happened upon the blog of the one and only, Rachel Barbra Berry✫! While those on here may deceive you with their impersonating me (which I think is wonderful - imitation is the highest form of flattery, after all!) I am in fact the one and only! I previously only had a MySpace page as my form of social networking, but a good friend of mine recently told me that nobody goes on it anymore and it's "lame," so I decided to pick up my talent and move it to Tumblr! Though I did not have time for rigorous social networking in the past, I have decided that I should learn to make some time for it! Seeing as my big break is just around the corner, this would be an excellent outlet for not only meeting and being connected to my fans, but also to chronicle my day-to-day happenings as I inch closer and closer to my inevitable stardom!
You probably know me as a former student of McKinley High in Lima Ohio, where I was the co-captain of the National Championship award winning New Directions! Though we weren't exactly the most popular group, and were even subjected to quite a bit of torment, I do not regret my time in New Directions for a single second. When I had previously been a social pariah and had no friends whatsoever, being in Glee not only supplied me with a hefty amount of friends, but also a family. Though there was a lot of drama and arguments during our time, I still consider every single one of them to be my family, and I love and would do anything for them, Even though I have graduated and moved all the way to New York, they all still hold a very special place in my heart, and I know for a fact that they always will.
Currently, I am very much single, though a few months ago I probably would have said differently a few months ago. I used to be engaged to my high school sweetheart and the love of my life, but due to circumstances that I would rather not go into detail about, that is no longer the case. Though I will always care about him deeply and he will always hold a special place in my heart, we are just not on the same paths right now and are just not meant to be together. But I will be using this opportunity to really find myself and make a name for myself out here in New York, so it isn't completely bad. Some times things just have to fall apart before they can get better, and that is definitely the case for me.
Right now, I am a resident of New York City, as well as a student at the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts. Though I am completely devoted to ensuring I have an excellent education, I am also making sure to get to every audition I can possibly get my hands on, in hopes of starting my career as soon as I possibly can. My schooling may be important to me, but my dreams always comes first, and I will do anything and everything I possibly can to make them happen as soon as I possibly can. After all, stars are rare, and when they're found, they have to shine.
I think I covered some of the most important aspects needed! Though I understand that this ended up getting a bit long winded, I felt it necessary to be as detailed as possible, so my fans can get a better understanding of me! I'm sure I will remember some more important things to add later, but for now, this seems like a good note to end on! That being said, my ask box is currently open and eager to receive any and all of your questions and fanmail, of course!
